GEC Rifle and Pistol Club

Part of The Copsewood Sports and Social Club

The GEC Rifle Club was formed in 1939 and was part of the then GEC Sports and Social Club. This was later changed to Marconi Sports and Social Club and more recently to the Copsewood Sports and Social Club.

The club affiliates to the NSRA which is the governing body for smallbore and airweapons target shooting in the UK.

The GEC range is situated on the Allard Way sportsground and can offer facilities for the following shooting disciplines

Smallbore rifle shooting
- 25 yards indoor
- 50 metres and 100 yards at the Sywell Rifle range Northamptonshire
Air weapons
- 10 metres air pistol
- 20 yards air pistol
- 10 metres air rifle
- 6 metres bell target

It is actively encouraged that all members represent the club by shooting competitively in the internal and external competitions entered by the Club.
We currently shoot in competitions in the Warwickshire, Midlands, Northants and West Kent leagues. Most of our shooting is done postally (ie we shoot the cards on our home range and then send them to an appointed scorer who score the cards and sends the results back).

Very important!!! Please do not turn up at the range without contacting the Secretary first, as due to current Home Office legislation, certain criteria have to be met, and you will not !!! be allowed to enter.
